These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Bearmend website and platform.
By using Bearmend, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the website or platform.
1. Who we are

2. About Bearmend
Bearmend is a property maintenance workflow platform designed to help landlords, property operators, and related users organise property records, report issues, coordinate maintenance activity, manage communications, and keep maintenance history in a more structured way.
Bearmend may also facilitate interaction between property-side users and independent service providers.
3. Eligibility and account use
You may use Bearmend only if you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement.
You are responsible for ensuring that:
- the information you provide is accurate and up to date;
- you use the platform only for lawful and legitimate purposes;
- you maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials or access methods;
- you do not allow unauthorised persons to use your account.
4. Free access and paid plans
Bearmend may offer free access or paid subscription plans. Features, limits, pricing, and availability may vary by plan and may change over time.
Free plans may include operational limits, including limits on the number of properties, active issues, users, workflow features, or handling conditions.
5. Nature of the platform
Bearmend provides software, workflow, communication, and related platform functionality. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, we do not undertake to directly perform repair works ourselves.
Where service providers are introduced, matched, suggested, or made available through the platform, they act as independent providers unless expressly stated otherwise.
6. Independent service providers
Any service providers, technicians, tradespeople, or contractors using or connected through Bearmend are independent and are not employees, workers, or agents of FIXWELL TECHNOLOGIES LTD unless expressly stated otherwise.
We do not guarantee:
- the quality, suitability, or legality of any work performed by a service provider;
- the availability, response time, or completion time of any provider;
- that a provider will accept, attend, or complete any job;
- that estimates, timings, or proposed scopes of work will be accurate or final.
7. Repair issues, job coordination, and status information
Bearmend may allow users to create issue reports, upload photos, add notes, set urgency, provide property context, and receive status updates.
Statuses, timelines, and workflow information are provided to help users understand the current stage of an issue, but they do not amount to a guarantee that a job will proceed, be accepted, be attended on time, or be completed.
8. Pricing, estimates, and fees
Pricing displayed on the platform, including estimates, guidance, or software-generated suggestions, is for informational or workflow purposes unless expressly stated as a confirmed and binding charge.
Final pricing for repair works may depend on actual site conditions, scope changes, materials, labour requirements, urgency, access difficulties, or other factors.
Bearmend may charge:
- subscription fees;
- service fees;
- payment handling fees;
- platform fees connected to completed jobs or workflow usage.
9. Payments
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe. By using payment-related functionality, you may also be subject to the terms and policies of those providers.
We may facilitate collection, holding, transfer, or administration of funds where relevant to the platform workflow.
We are not responsible for:
- banking failures, payment provider outages, or third-party payment errors;
- disputes arising solely between users and independent service providers;
- chargebacks, delays, or reversals initiated by third-party payment systems or card issuers.
10. Cancellations, delays, rescheduling, and no-shows
Jobs, visits, and repair activity may be delayed, rescheduled, declined, cancelled, or left incomplete for operational reasons.
To the extent permitted by law, Bearmend is not liable for:
- contractor no-shows;
- missed appointments;
- availability changes;
- delays caused by property access, user-side information gaps, supplier issues, weather, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
11. User responsibilities
You agree that you will:
- provide accurate, lawful, and non-misleading information;
- only submit property details, photos, and data that you are entitled to share;
- not misuse the platform for spam, fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity;
- not interfere with the platform’s operation, security, or availability;
- not impersonate another person or business;
- not upload harmful code, malicious content, or misleading material.
12. Content and data submitted by users
You retain responsibility for the information, materials, and content you upload or submit. You grant us a non-exclusive right to use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, support, and secure the platform and associated workflows.
13. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, Bearmend, its website, branding, content, design, and platform materials are owned by or licensed to FIXWELL TECHNOLOGIES LTD and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit platform materials except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
14. Reviews, feedback, and communications
We may allow reviews, feedback, ratings, comments, or operational notes. We reserve the right to remove, moderate, or refuse content that is abusive, unlawful, defamatory, misleading, irrelevant, or otherwise inappropriate.
15. Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, withdraw, restrict, or change all or part of the website or platform at any time.
We do not guarantee that the website or platform will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
16. Disclaimer
The website and platform are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We do not guarantee that:
- the platform will meet every user requirement;
- all content will be complete, accurate, or up to date at all times;
- all workflow suggestions, routing, or estimates will be correct.
17. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Subject to that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, FIXWELL TECHNOLOGIES LTD will not be liable for:
- indirect or consequential loss;
- loss of profits, business, revenue, opportunity, or goodwill;
- property damage, losses, disputes, or workmanship issues caused by independent service providers;
- delays, rescheduling, or failure of repair attendance;
- losses arising from third-party providers, payment systems, or events outside our reasonable control.
18. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the website or platform if:
- you breach these Terms;
- we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse, abuse, or security risk;
- we are required to do so for legal, technical, or operational reasons.
19. Privacy
Use of Bearmend is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always appear on this page with the date of the latest update.
21. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
